Since One School, One Book was launched in 2002, over two million families have participated in Read to Them’s family literacy programs. By providing schools with the necessary tools and encouraging parents to read aloud to their children each night, this Fan-based organization is building a culture of childhood literacy.

Retired Director of Horticulture at Maymont and Host and co-Producer of Virginia Home Grown on VPM/PBS TV, Peggy Singlemann will join us for an interactive pruning demonstration. Please bring in photos of plants you find challenging to prune, and Peggy will give us all some helpful gardening tips!

Join us for a special evening outside The Fan, at a cocktail party hosted by Crossroads Art Center! Established 22 years ago, Crossroads is dedicated to showcasing and selling local art, hosting art classes, and providing working studios. We will enjoy a discussion led by Crossroads’ esteemed artists and experts, and will have the opportunity to explore the entire center and observe live demonstrations.
