Join us as we kick off the FWC’s 52nd year! Mark your calendar for an evening of food, wine and friendship. This is the perfect opportunity to invite a new or long-time neighbor you think might want to join the Club. And while catching up with new and old friends everyone will have the chance to sign up for their favorite committees.

FETCH a Cure works with pet owners and the veterinary community to further pet cancer awareness, education, and treatment. Please join us to hear more about their vision of a community where no one is denied a choice for their pet’s health due to lack of options, education or funding.

Since One School, One Book was launched in 2002, over two million families have participated in Read to Them’s family literacy programs.  By providing schools with the necessary tools and encouraging parents to read aloud to their children each night, this Fan-based organization is building a culture of childhood literacy.

Retired Director of Horticulture at Maymont and Host and co-Producer of Virginia Home Grown on VPM/PBS TV, Peggy Singlemann will join us for an interactive pruning demonstration. Please bring in photos of plants you find challenging to prune, and Peggy will give us all some helpful gardening tips!

Join us for a special evening outside The Fan, at a cocktail party hosted by Crossroads Art Center! Established 22 years ago, Crossroads is dedicated to showcasing and selling local art, hosting art classes, and providing working studios. We will enjoy a discussion led by Crossroads’ esteemed artists and experts, and will have the opportunity to explore the entire center and observe live demonstrations.
